Fact or Fantasy
Some believe ancient cultures used a process described as coning, stemming back around five thousand years. Apparently cone-shaped instruments helped to rid the body of spirits and toxins. Naturally there are others who say this is not true. So why ear candles?
Gossip or Trustworthy?
After twenty plus years online, browsing any number of topics from all over the internet, you find all sorts. Many sites, social media platforms, forums and the like and one comes across a heap of info. There’s some rather amusing comments by plenty of folk on many topics such as why ear candles work or don’t. When it comes to ear candling, some tend to slam things like the vacuum concept by saying it’s outright impossible. While actual users post results that imply why ear candles may in fact remove water, wax and foreign material. We can’t speak for you but it’s pretty clear to us who we would tend to believe given the choice.
Real or Imagined?
Views across the internet etc likely play some part in how many relate to why ear candles work or not. Would you generally go by what someone who uses or does something for ages? Or someone who hasn’t had any or limited experience on the topic? We believe its like comparing asking someone outside the legal profession for legal advice. Clearly they aren’t a lawyer and have little to no real experience on the subject. Would you ask a carpenter for legal advice or a lawyer to build your house? We know who we would believe over who and why. Whatever you choose is of course your choice.
Ridiculous or Believable?
Is it ridiculous to think ear candles can remove water or wax etc when users claim this sort of thing? Perhaps they may create a vacuum of a sort? We believe those who use ear candles are likely to say this, whether it’s fundamentally provable or not. We believe people aren’t stupid however knowledge is generally relevant to experience and perception. People seem to get results they like or they wouldn’t use ear candles as a lifestyle choice or otherwise.
Hypothetical or Impressive?
If a world-wide ear candle sales counter existed we would display it here. We strongly believe if we could offer such a counter it would show a fairly impressive number. We believe some would wonder how any such custom could exist when to them nothing is more ridiculous. What do you believe? That is what’s really important here, not what others think.
Ear Ache and Infections?
Some people even make claims why ear candles help ear infections, earache and more. Children and the ear problems they can face was the primary reason for our interest in this practice. While we have had positive outcomes from our experience, that doesn’t mean everyone else will. Each case is different, even if it’s much the same thing. We would however suggest that using ear candles while pain is present from an infection is potentially unwise. This may not always be the case when there’s mild to medium infection with little to no pain. If in doubt, don’t use ear candles! Its 100% your choice, naturally.
Giggle or Gag?
Yeast infections called candida can cause a mold/yeast allergy which in turn causes itching inside the ear according to some. We have no direct experience with this. We’re not even sure if those that claim such are actually looking at an ear (cough). If that’s what they believe, it’s their prerogative.
Swimmer’s Ear; is there such a thing?
Apparently there is according to many medical sites known as “Otitis Externa” which in short is an infection. One of the main functions of the ear canal is to protect the middle ear from infection and foreign objects. Those who can relate may or may not complain of pain. Some claim why ear candles can help relieve the buildup of pressure which drives pain. That said, ear candling may work for you or it may not. Who really knows for sure, unless one tries! Right?
Syringing or Candling?
Apparently a few holistic doctors in the U.S. have shifted to ear candles from irrigation techniques called syringing. This does tie in with what we experienced on the other side of the world in New Zealand. It certainly appeared doctors were reluctant to carry out syringing. Some also won’t syringe if there’s impacted ear wax. One doctor said that syringing was too aggressive for long-term use. Whether doctors think that today may have changed. This was however another reason in why ear candles became our choice, hence name “Ear Candles by Choice”.
Eustachian tube and Otis Media?
Its understood that mucus from the Eustachian tube blown into the ear canal results in earache. Ear candles may relieve this discomfort. If excess ear wax blocks the ear and [a number of other possibilities] may cause pressure build up. If left unattended this condition typically results in the condition known as Otis Media.
Children up to and around the age of eight years or thereabout are susceptible to ear related problems. Such as earache, infections and excess wax. Ear infections are common in children because their Eustachian tubes are shorter, narrower and more horizontal than in adults. This makes movement of air and fluid difficult. Bacteria can become trapped when the tissue of the Eustachian tube becomes swollen from colds or allergies. Bacteria trapped in the Eustachian tube may produce an ear infection in the surrounding area. This can in turn push on the eardrum causing it to become red, swollen, and sore.
It’s well-known Otitis media is a common problem in children where bone breakdown in the middle ear occurs. In short its due to a pressure built up, often from a blocked Eustachian tube. Therefore allowing the infection to build strength causing the membrane to rub up against the Ossicles. Its critical such a situations remedied or hearing loss can certainly take place.
Do nothing or do what it takes?
It’s imperative that such a conditions rectified asap, ask any doctor and or specialist for that matter. This is another example why ear candles were an option for us and why ear candles are potentially for you. Ear candling may help when used with traditional methods, such as during the waiting time before an operation. It’s perhaps helpful to work with medical advisers and use ear candles providing it’s acceptable in your circumstances.
This is what we did for our youngest daughter and it saved her from invasive surgery, not to mention hearing. At the time of the last medical assessment, she was around the age this problem typically subsides. However witnessing potential ear wax material along with how she was after, it seems probable ear candling played a part. Her specialist certainly implied they helped rectify the condition, whether ear candling was the primary solution or not. She saw a noticeable difference by the time we returned. This was the final confirmation why ear candles for us was at the very least a practice worth sharing.
This site or info within is no guarantee ear candles remove earwax or deposits of any sort. It also doesn’t mean or imply why ear candles are a miracle cure for anything. Nor that they will work in all circumstances or that they won’t work for that matter. Ear candling is very much a personal experience. There are many reasons why ear candles may work for some and not for others. It has for us and it may for you.
